Aurora

We were lucky to have clear skies on several nights when the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) were active. The show was spectacular at times and seems to engulf the entire sky on occasion. Being aboard a ship gave us an unobstructed view of the sky but it also presented some logistical problems photographically. The most significant issue was that being on a moving vessel limited our ability for longer exposures. Secondly, we were limited in what other elements we were able to include in the images.
